Why the Jews Reject Jesus as Messiah

Why do the Jews not accept Jesus as the Messiah?

Don’t the Jews believe that Jesus was a prophet and a Rabbi sent from God? They do. Don’t they believe in doing good works? They do. According to Jesus those who do this “go into life eternal”. If you don’t believe me read it for yourself: Mat 25:34-46.

However, there is really no requirement that one has to believe that Jesus was the Messiah to be ‘saved’. This thing about believing was something that Paul invented. The truth is that there is no solid evidence in the bible that Jesus was the Messiah, in the way that it has been corrupted and the way that the church insists on interpreting it.

According to how the bible is written and how many in the church interpret it, Jesus is disqualified from being the Messiah. Jesus was sent to the Jews and was a Jew himself, born under the Jewish Law. Consequently, to qualify as their Messiah he had to have all of the attributes of all of the Old Testament messianic prophecies as the Jewish Messiah, not to mention the things that were to occur at his coming.

Because Jesus is Not God

Because Jesus is not God: this means the church fathers had to have invented some incredibly huge lies to deceive millions if not billions of people all over the world throughout the last 20 centuries or so. This has to be one of the reasons there are so many contradictions and inconsistencies in the bible.

But there shall arise after you, men of perverse minds who shall through ignorance or through craft, suppress many things which I have spoken unto you, and lay to me things which I never taught, sowing tares among the good wheat which I have given you to sow in the world. (Gospel of the Nazarenes 44:7)

the enemies of truth and righteousness shall rule in my Name, and set up a kingdom of this world, and oppress the peoples, and cause the enemy to blaspheme, putting for my doctrines the opinions of men, and teaching in my Name that which I have not taught, and darkening much that I have taught by their traditions. (Gospel of the Nazarenes 95:4)

The declarations here are so incredibly huge that it is almost unbelievable to be true. However, so many Christians have heard just the opposite so many times that they believe it and would not even think of questioning it. After all, it’s what the Church teaches and “the Church could never be wrong”.

The King of the Jews

According to the Jews, Messiah (king of the Jews) was to accomplish the following:

  1. Rebuild the temple (2Sa 7:13)
  2. Gather all the Jews back to the land of Israel (Isaiah 66:20)
  3. Usher in an era of world peace (Isaiah 2:4)
  4. Unite all of humanity through the universal knowledge of the God of Israel. (Zechariah 14:9)
  5. Deliver God’s people from their enemies and make them live at peace. (Isa 40:9-11)

…none of which he accomplished at his coming. Continue reading

Myths About the Bible

The bible has many mistranslations, forgeries, contradictions and inconsistencies — largely because of modifications it suffered. It is not considered by many to be historically reliable. However, there is still much Truth that survived. Continue reading

Earliest Jewish Believers — Ebionites Part 2

They used only the Gospel of the Hebrews written by Matthew. (The Ebionites repudiated Paul) and used only the Gospel according to the Hebrews, making but slight account of the others. (Eusebius, Eccl. Hist. iii.27.4.) Continue reading

Earliest Jewish Believers: Ebionites Part 1

The very first believers in Jesus were not Christians. Christianity was not in existence yet — Christianity was a creation of St Paul. There were many names for these believers, but as Epiphanius writes: “Ebionite was at first… a common name for all Christians” (Epiphanius Adv. Haer., xxix. 1). Continue reading

The Virgin Birth

In the gospel according to Matthew, there is a story about a virgin called Mary who becomes pregnant and conceives a child by the Holy Spirit. To prove this the writer quotes scripture from the Old Testament as if it were a fulfillment of bible prophecy.

Now, “God is with us” is significant in the context of the situation since the whole idea is God trying to encourage King Ahaz that he is on their side and that they will win if he only trusts in God.

(Opinion: I say “purposely” mistranslated because if it were just a simple error, it would have very little effect on the religious theology aspect. But this mistranslation has resulted in the creation of a very different kind of religion than the early Jewish believers ever even dreamed of.)

(The reason I believe this is that the followers of Jesus didn’t believe Mary was a virgin; Joseph, to them was the flesh and blood father of Jesus; they were very against the idea that Jesus was God; and that Jesus became the Son of God at his baptism and not from eternity. See: What the Early Christians Really Believed

(Moreover, this the mistranslation has been known about and has persisted for hundreds of years, and was never corrected, but in fact, has turned into an enormous world-wide religion — based on a mistranslation.)

(Continuing with the story:) He goes on to tell Ahaz that before the boy is old enough to know the difference between good and evil, both kings of the enemy nations that are at war with Judah will be forsaken. It goes on to describe how the Lord will defeat all of king Ahaz’s enemies. (Isa 7:15-25)

As it turns out, it seems that (in the very next chapter) the young woman who gives birth to the boy is conceived by the prophet himself, and the young woman is a prophetess. If this is not the same woman and the boy, it is certainly a continuation of the same sign God was giving to the king since it sounds very similar and is an obvious continuation of the sign in the previous chapter. (Isa 8:1- 10)

And exactly as in chapter 7 the prophecy has the phrase, “God is with us”. Which gives credence to the idea that the prophetess and the young woman (virgin) from chapter 7 are one and the same woman. What’s more is it’s the prophet himself who impregnates the young woman and not the Holy Spirit.
