Isaiah 53
The so-called “Suffering Servant” story of Isaiah 53 has long been by considered Christologists to be a messianic prophecy, or about Jesus the Messiah. There are passages in this chapter that that sound like prophecies about the life and death of the Jesus. However, there are some very problematic parts of it that seem to make it impossible to be a prophecy about the future “sacrifice” of Jesus and more about the nation of Israel. Continue reading

The King of the Jews
According to the Jews, Messiah (king of the Jews) was to accomplish the following:
- Rebuild the temple (2Sa 7:13)
- Gather all the Jews back to the land of Israel (Isaiah 66:20)
- Usher in an era of world peace (Isaiah 2:4)
- Unite all of humanity through the universal knowledge of the God of Israel. (Zechariah 14:9)
- Deliver God’s people from their enemies and make them live at peace. (Isa 40:9-11)
…none of which he accomplished at his coming. Continue reading

Jesus: Priest, King and Prophet
Jesus was a Priest-King
Jesus was not only of the royal lineage of Judah but also of the priestly lineage of Levi. He got his Kingship through his biological father Joseph, and his priesthood through his mother Mary.
Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne (Zec 6:13)

Lamb Of God Part 2
Is one’s sins forgiven and taken away or not?
This is very confusing. Is one’s sins forgiven and taken away or not? It seems that the bible says both. However, even though God and Jesus forgive sins, the bible shows that one must pay for his own sins. (See: Lamb of God Part 1) If there is no demand of punishment for offenses, then how is it that a man must reap what he sows, receive things done in his body whether good or bad, few or many stripes for unfaithfulness whether worthy of punishment or not? Lamb Of God Part 1
If all sins are forgiven then why is a man judged in the next life?
Now you may say, “the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life”. That is supposed to mean that the man doesn’t go to hell for the payment for eternity, he automatically gets to go to heaven if he believes — it’s a free gift for believing. So a man can live as bad as he wants and if he believes in Jesus, then he goes to heaven for eternity. Sin all you want, believe in Jesus and still go to heaven and no debts to pay? All debts are forgiven? Continue reading

Jesus Prophecies Part 1
These teachings were hidden away from the roman church so that at the time that the world was ready to receive the pure truth, it would be in its original form, without the corruptions of the Roman church. The churchmen in Rome were changing the gospels and corrupting them, taking things out and adding things that were not originally there. We know this because of a letter that was written in the Epistle of Peter To James:
“Hear me, brethren and fellow-servants. If we should give the books to all indiscriminately, and they should be corrupted by any daring men, or be perverted by interpretations, as you have heard that some have already done, it will remain even for those who really seek the truth, always to wander in error.
Wherefore it is better that they should be with us, and that we should communicate them with all the fore-mentioned care to those who wish to live piously, and to save others.” (Epistle of Peter To James Chapter 5)

Was Jesus Divine?
The answer to this question is yes and no. Why? Because it all depends on what your definition of what “divine” is. Most Christians base their belief on Jesus being a god-man and that is what makes him divine. On the other hand, angels and even saints are considered divine.
I’ve been asked, “Don’t you believe that Jesus is divine?”. The thing is that it doesn’t really matter what I believe or don’t believe. What someone believes doesn’t change one way or the other what the Truth really is — the Truth will always be the Truth, no matter what. Continue reading

Adoptionism Part 2
Adoptionism was the basis of Christianity, it appears, near the end of the the first century and for centuries was the principal doctrine for all the middle eastern and north African Christianity. The Adoptionists believed that Jesus was a creation of God and was begotten of God at his baptism. They took the concept of the ‘son of God’ in a metaphysical way, like a son that has been adopted and not literally. Continue reading

Adoptionism Part 1
Arius’ Christology was a mixture of adoptionism and logos theology. His basic notion was that the Son came into being through the will of the Father — the Son, therefore, had a beginning. Although the Son was before all eternity, he was NOT eternal, and Father and Son were NOT of the same essence. In Jesus, who suffered pain and wept, the logos became human.
Arius mixed the early Christian belief in Adoptionism and the Greek theology of the Logos. According to him, the Son had a beginning and came into being by the will of the Father. He existed with the Father before eternity, though he was not eternal as the Father and was not of the same essence as the Father. Jesus, the logos, became human having experienced life as a human.
