Logic reveals Truth

It is so easy to be deceived by just accepting what others say, because they have some degree or something that gives them the right say that their interpretation of the Truth is the correct one.

God gave us all a brain and the gift of Logic to discern whether something is true or not. If this were not so, Jesus would not have said: “Take heed that no man deceive you.” He was saying use your own head and test what people say to know whether they are telling you the truth or not and don’t just believe everything they say.

“And Jesus answered and said unto them, “Take heed that no man deceive you.”

“For many shall come in my name, saying, (that) I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” (Mt 24:4,5)

That quote from Jesus: “many shall come in my name” can be interpreted 2 ways. It could mean that many crazy people will come along and say that they themselves are the Christ or that many would come along in the name of Jesus preaching that Jesus is the Christ (Messiah) and that the time is close.

All you have to do is add a little four letter word, “that” and the whole meaning changes. You don’t see a “many” crazy people walking around declaring that they are the Messiah and that their time is close. However, you do see many coming in the name of Jesus preaching that Jesus is the Messiah and that the time (of his coming) is close.

Jesus said they would “deceive MANY“. There aren’t many crazy people walking around deceiving “many” people. In fact, it’s just the opposite. Crazy people are not believed very easily — few people believe anything they say.

Now here’s a shocker. These “false prophets” that Jesus was talking about would “show great signs and wonders“. When did you ever see a crazy person do that? Then to top it off, these crazies would be able to “deceive the very elect”!

“Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.”
“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
“Behold, I have told you before.” (Mt 24:23-25)

See how Logic works to reveal truth? There are many false teachers that have come in Jesus’ name and have deceived billions of believers! Now, the phrase “if it were possible” signifies that most of the very elect would be not be deceived – only some.

It takes belief to be deceived.

  • “Ye shall KNOW the truth…”, not BELIEVE the truth. “…and the Truth will set you free” — (from the bondage of deceit).

  • It takes belief to be deceived. Without belief it is impossible to be deceived.

  • Belief makes it possible to be deceived.

  • Question, question, question… Use critical and logical reasoning. That’s why God gave you a brain — use it!

  • Logic reveals the difference between the Truth and a Lie. Truth can withstand Logic the Lie can not. Truth is fact based, untruth is based on fantasy.

Belief is the substance of the deceived, the evidence of fantasy.

You have to believe something, that’s true, and it’s alright, but you don’t have to believe a lie — so test. Don’t just accept something as truth, just because someone important said it.
