There are 45 verses quoted here from the Gospel of the Nazarenes — all about animals. In the canonical New Testament of the Holy Bible, there are no verses at all talking about kindness to animals, yet they are all creatures of God and most of them have feelings and even show love one to another. It seems very strange to me that there are no verses about animals in the New Testament of the “Holy” Bible, except where it talks about sacrifice.
Don’t you think it strange that the Jews used animal sacrifice for the remission of sins, when Jesus and his disciples baptized with water as a symbol of repentance and change of life? What’s more is Jesus got very angry with the people selling animals inside the temple walls for the purpose of sacrificing them to pay for sins.
“And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,”
“And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.” (Matthew 21:12-13)
It is my opinion that the authors of the New Testament borrowed much from the Gospel of the Nazarenes for their gospels and left out any material that they didn’t think would be welcome in Paul’s new religion of Christianity. It’s not a wonder that Paul spoke of “his gospel”, and demonized the three pillars of the Early church, James, Peter and John, the three most outstanding disciples of Jesus — who knew Jesus personally.
In the gospel the disciples wrote, it is apparent that Jesus defended animals, and taught that men ought to treat them kindly. In fact, he made it clear that one of the important things he came to Earth to do was to put an end to animal sacrifice, and as was obvious, animal sacrifice actually did end in his day and with the Early church, water baptism took the place of animal sacrifice.
The following are the teachings of Jesus as written down by his disciples about the humane treatment of animals, left out by the authors of the New Testament Gospels:
Jesus’ love for the animals
4.5…He was born in the midst of the animals which He came to redeem from their sufferings…
6.19 I will make the animals to lie down in safety, and to live without fear.”
6.17 The beasts of the field respected Him; and the birds of the air did not fear Him, for He made them not afraid…
34.9 …This man careth for all creatures… …having the same breath of life in the Eternal.
Jesus prohibited eating flesh or benefiting from killing animals
7.10 …Keep yourselves from blood and things strangled and from dead bodies of birds and beasts, and from all deeds of cruelty, and from all that is gotten of wrong; Do you think that the blood of beasts and birds will wash away sin! I tell you no! Speak the Truth. Be just, Be merciful to one another and to all creatures that live, and walk humbly with your God.”
38.2 …“They, whose hands are stained with blood, or whose mouths are defiled with flesh, or they who partake of benefits which are gotten by wronging one of God’s creatures, cannot be righteous…”
38.4 “…all who desire to be my disciples, keep your hands from bloodshed and let no flesh meat enter your mouths, for God is just and bountiful, who ordains that man shall live by the fruits and seeds of the earth alone.”
71.4 And He would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel of blood through the temple, or that any animals should be slain…
33.4 …”Put your blood sacrifices to your burnt offerings, and away with them, and cease from the eating flesh. I did not speak to your fathers nor commanded them…
33.8 …shed no innocent blood nor eat flesh. Walk upright, love mercy, and do justly, and your days shall be long in the land.”
Shed no innocent blood nor eat flesh
Jesus came to end the blood sacrifices of animals
21.8 …“I have come to end the sacrifices and feasts of blood, and if you don’t cease offering and eating of flesh and blood, the wrath of God will not cease from you…”
28.3 “You believe that Moses indeed commanded such creatures to be slain and offered in sacrifice and eaten, and so do you in the temple, but I have come to light The way back to the law, even the true Law of Moses. I come to put away the bloody sacrifice of the law, and the feasts on them, and to restore to you the pure oblation and unbloody sacrifice as in the beginning, even the grains and fruits of the earth.”
“I have come to end the sacrifices and feasts of blood”
28.4.”Of that which you offer to God in purity will you eat, but of that kind which you offer not in purity will you not eat, for the hour comes when your sacrifices and feasts of blood will cease, and you will worship God with a holy worship and a pure oblation.” (this is a prophecy that came to pass)
28.5 “Let these creatures therefore go free, that they may rejoice in God and bring no guilt to man.” And the young man let them free, and Yeshua broke their cages and their bonds.
79.9 And they asked Him further saying, “Are you abolishing the sacrifice called for by the law, and the eating of flesh as Moses commanded?“
75.9 “I say to you, for this end have I come into the world, that I may put away all blood offerings and the eating of flesh of the beasts and the birds that are slain by men.“
49.10 The day will come when all those who are in the outer court, and that which pertaineth to blood offerings, will be taken away …
Jesus was a vegetarian
38.3 “God gives the grains and the fruits of the earth for food; and for righteous man truly there is no other lawful sustenance for the body.”
38.4 “…God is just and bountiful, who ordains that man shall live by the fruits and seeds of the earth alone.”
33.6 “And what doth the eternal command you, but to do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with your God? Is it not written that in the beginning God ordained the fruits of the trees and the seeds and the herbs to be food for all flesh?“
75.10 “In the beginning, God gave to all, the fruits of the trees, and the seeds, and the herbs, for food; but those who loved themselves more than God, or their fellows, corrupted their ways, and brought diseases into their bodies, and filled the earth with lust and violence.”
51.16 “…in the beginning gave you all sorts of seed, and fruit of the trees and seed having been for the food and healing of man and beast….”
28.3 “You believe that Moses indeed commanded such creatures to be slain and offered in sacrifice and eaten… I come to put away the bloody sacrifice of the law, and the feasts on them, and to restore to you the pure oblation and unbloody sacrifice as in the beginning, even the grains and fruits of the earth.”
Eating of meat is bad for your physical and spiritual health
87.11 “For they, making a god of their belly, sacrificed to their God the innocent creatures of the earth, in place of the carnal nature within themselves.”
87.12 “And eating of their flesh and drinking of their blood to their own destruction, corrupted their bodies and shortened their days…”
75.11 “Not by shedding innocent blood, therefore, but by living a righteous life, shall you find the peace of God…”
75.12 “…Live in the life, and you shall see no death. All things are alive in God, and the spirit of God fills all things.”
What happens if the sacrifice is ended?
49.5 …”If you end to the sacrifices of sheep and oxen and birds, what is the purpose of this temple built for God by Solomon…?”
49.6 …”It is written in the prophets, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations, for the sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving.’ But you have made it a house of slaughter and filled it with abominations.”
Blood of sacrificed animals can not take away sins
33.1 …”Master, it is said by the priests that without shedding of blood there is no remission. Can then the blood offerings of the laws take away sin?”
33.2 And Yeshua answered, “No blood offering, of beast or bird, or man, can take away sin. For how can the conscience be purged from sin by the shedding of innocent blood? Nay, it will increase the condemnation.”
7.10 …”Keep yourselves from blood and things strangled and from dead bodies of birds and beasts, and from all deeds of cruelty, and from all that is gotten of wrong; Do you think that the blood of beasts and birds will wash away sin! I tell you no! Speak the Truth. Be just, Be merciful to one another and to all creatures that live, and walk humbly with your God.”
God hates animal sacrifices
49.7 “…But you have made it a desolation with your offerings of blood and used the sweet incense only to cover the ill savor thereof. I have come not to destroy the law, but to fulfill it.”
49.8 “Don’t you know what is written? Obedience is better than sacrifice and to attend what is being said is better than the fat of rams. I, the Lord, am weary of your burnt offerings, and vain oblation, your hands are full of blood.“
49.9 “Aren’t the true sacrifices specified in the writings? Wash and purify yourself! Take away the evil from before my eyes! Cease to do evil! Learn to do good! Do justice for the fatherless and the widows, and all those who are oppressed! In so doing you will fulfill the law.“
33.7 “But they have made the house of prayer a den of thieves, and for the oblation with incense, they have polluted my altars with blood, and eaten of the flesh of the slain.”
Didn’t God command the eating of animals?
51.12 …”Why do your disciples teach men that it is unlawful to eat the flesh of beasts though beasts are offered in sacrifice as Moses ordained.”
51.13 …”God said to Noah, ‘The fear and the dread of you will be upon every beast of the field, and every bird of the air, and every fish of the sea, into your hand they are delivered.”
51.15 As also Jeremiah bore witness when he said, concerning blood offerings and sacrifices, “I the Lord God commanded none of these things on the day that you came out of Egypt, but only this I commanded you to do, righteousness, walk in the ancient paths, do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with thy God.”
51.16 “But you did not listen to me, who in the beginning gave you all sorts of seed, and fruit of the trees and seed having been for the food and healing of man and beast. And they said, You speak against the law.”
51.17 And He said against Moses “Indeed I do not speak against the law, but against those who corrupted his law, which he permitted because of the hardness of your hearts.
Jesus drives out those who sell animals for sacrifice in the temple
82.19 The usurers and the dealers in beasts and birds also cast the life things into his teeth, saying, “You who drove the traders in oxen and sheep and doves from the temple, are yourself but a sheep that is sacrificed.”
86.4 And the sacrifices ceased that day in the temple, for all were in fear, and none were willing to sell or to buy, but, rather, they let their captives go free.
And the sacrifices ceased that day in the temple, for all were in fear
Jesus gave his body as a sacrifice to end the blood sacrifices of animals
87.9 “I have given my body and my blood to be offered on the cross for the redemption of the world from the sin against love, and from the bloody sacrifices and feasts of the past.”
87.10 And you will offer the bread of life, and the wine of salvation, for a pure Oblation with incense, as it is written of me, and you shall eat and drink thereof, for a memorial, that I have delivered all who believe in me from…
